Production Process
Tatijana Beniaminova
Tatijana Beniaminova,
Chairman of Board of Directors:

«We were obliged to establish the most up-to-date production — only after that we could face the development.»

«GrosStems» is the first company in the world that has started running the equipment supplied by the German company, «Hauni», according to the original process HDT (High temperature Dried Tobacco) to produce expanded stem.

The technological equipment presents an automatic line, non-stop running line and practically excluding manual operation. Functions of the technical staff are mainly restricted to observation control displays.
The expanded stem processing is harmless for the environment and the personnel, who provide operations and maintenance of the line, and in addition, the final product is ecologically clean and safe for consumers as the stem processing Hauni technology does not use any gases, chemical substances and fluids as agents. Expansion and drying occur in the high-temperature-drying unit HDT-SE operating with overheated steam.

The primary processing automation is divided into sectors — groups , each of them having its switch cabinet with a controller and a control panel. A group starts with feeding
Oleg Amiranov Oleg Amiranov,
Director General:

«In the HDT unit stem is expanded due to intensive moisture output (within a few seconds stem loses more than 20% of its moisture). And raw materials are in  contact only with  steam and technological air that makes an ecologically clean product.»

of raw materials and ends with their discharge. The structure of groups control aims at providing independent operation of all the groups. It ensures a high level of its operation and benefits for its maintenance. While operating the line
the group runs automatically, fulfillment of technological requirements is ensured by programmed process and parameters set by an operator according to a technologist's task.
